The name Descent Into Madness appeared on the Houston scene in the early 2001. After several personnel changes, reading like a who's who of Houston musicians, the current lineup materialized in 2005 when Claudio and Alexander were auditioning for a vocalist. Jennifer Lazure (ex-Last Eve) answered the band's ad for a vocalist. Although at the time not really looking for a female vocalist, the guys were struck by Jennifer's talent and asked her to join as the lead vocalist, with Alex taking over on male vocals. The first demo EP with Jennifer on vocals, titled "Children of War" was recorded in the Winter of 2005, following shortly thereafter with their second EP in April 2006 titled "Fool's March". Currently Descent Into Madness is mixing a new demo, to be released in 2008.
